How it Works

Setup
Assess the ability of the care recipient with regards to grip strength and stability
Lock the wheels and ask the care recipient to hold on to the grip bars attached to the frame
Lift
Communicate with the care recipient the intent to lift and transfer
Count to three and pull the frame away from the care recipient
Transfer
Once fully lifted ask the care recipient to stabilize and straighten their body using the handle of the device
Unlock the wheels and transfer the care recipient to the desired location

SIT TO STAND: RESTORATIVE CARE
ORCHIDlift is an active mobility device, encouraging the care recipient to actively engage their muscles as the care provider helps them with mobility needs such as sit to stand or walking. This is perfect in scenarios where sit-to-stand or strength training is needed.

For care recipients that require full transport, ORCHIDlift provides a removable platform that can easily be attached. In this scenario, ORCHIDlift can be used to provide short distance transfers such as moving the care recipient from wheelchair to chairs, beds, or any other desired location.

MULTI-GRIP HANDLE
Comfortable multi-grip positions accommodate users with different heights when pushing and pulling the device.
DETACHABLE
SIDE-HANDLE
The side-handles provide an extra layer of safety during the lifting process as well as providing side rails which can be used for walking and other rehabilitation exercises.
ADJUSTABLE
SHINPAD
Comfortable shinpad with soft padding designed to prevent movement during the lifting process. The depth can be easily adjusted to accommodate different users.
TOTAL WHEEL LOCK
Easy one-step lock to secure all four wheels on the device.
DETACHABLE BASE
Removable base allows the device to be used for simple activities including repositioning, sit to stand and other exercises that do not require full transport.
FULL SWIVEL CASTER
360 degree, 4" casters allow for comfortable movement, easy rotation, manoeuvring as well as repositioning. Perfect for small spaces.

LOCKING GAS SPRING
Premium quality, German manufactured gas springs. The gas springs will reduce the amount of force required to lift and provides a smooth controlled speed as the care recipient is lowered down.
Accessories
Each ORCHIDlift comes with a soft padded safety belt with a light waterproof exterior and anti-slip interior. Whether used during transfers or helping the care recipient with gait training our belts are designed to provide an extra level of safety and security for our care recipients.
ANTI-SLIP SPACER MESH:
The anti-slip interior prevents the belt from moving during the transfer process.
SOFT PADDED FOAM:
Each belt is padded with soft, breathable foam, creating a comfortable experience for our care recipients.
